WIND TURBINE TECHNOLOGY
With best in class horizontal and vertical axis wind turbines and over 4,000 successful installations globally, Ryse Energy wind turbines have a proven track record of delivering value in a range of applications.
We can provide the optimum wind generation solution for your application through our advanced generating technologies, turbine design philosophies and control algorithms.
Our portfolio of robust, efficient, and variable horizontal axis wind turbines (HAWTs) have been in continuous development for over thirty years and are scalable across a variety of wind speeds and energy needs.
Our industry experts in engineering and design have over multiple years of development and testing developed high performance yet low maintenance vertical axis wind turbines (VAWTs) suitable for a range of client applications. Our VAWTs can deliver access to energy in challenging environments, both urban and rural, where traditional horizontal axis turbines are unable to effectively harness the wind resource or space is limited.
Our wind technologies cover the main three classifications of wind speeds, ensuring we have a solution suitable for every environment.
Our E-Range includes 3-blade horizontal axis turbines of 3 – 60 kW for deployment in medium to high wind speed sites. These have been designed to the IEC 61400-2 Class I and II specifications, in order to safely operate in environments with the potential for extreme gusts. In total, several thousand of these turbines have been deployed throughout the world, in a range of applications and environments. The E-Range’s Class design specifications, combined with a low start-up wind speed of 2 m/s, allows these turbines to be able to efficiently generate power over a wide range of site conditions.
Our G-Range turbines are in the ‘small wind turbine’ category and are best in class for moderate wind speed sites i.e. those with an ‘annual average wind speed’ in the range of 4.5 – 7.5 m/s. They have a simple but effective 2-blade horizontal axis design with a rated output of 10 – 20 kW and have been shown to be reliable in a range of environments with more than 2,000 installations worldwide.
Our N-Range utilises a vertical axis configuration which can be applied in urban areas and in conditions where turbulent wind precludes the use of traditional horizontal axis wind turbine designs or space is limited. The N-Range is able to harness the wind from all directions, without the need for a tracking system, and utilise screw pile foundations for concrete free installations.
For our medium power VAWTs, a driveshaft connects the turbine rotor to the gearbox and motor, allowing all power generation and control systems to be located at ground level, in a secure containerised enclosure. This means that limited working at height is required and the key serviceable components can be easily maintained.
