OVERVIEW

Design

characteristics

Blades Glass fibre, with a high-density polyurethane core and a root reinforcement provides optimum strength and performance.
1
Variable Pitch
Patented system allows for passive control of the angle of attack of the blades. This innovative system has 2 speeds of action: the first 30 degrees absorb wind gusts and the next 15 degrees act to limit runaway during sustained high winds.
2
Generator
A new design which optimizes production by keeping all copper conductors within the magnetic field. Together with its 20 poles and N50 neodymium magnets, increases the generation of energy by 15% from the previous model.
3
Steering Rudder A steel core embedded in high density polyurethane and coated with glass fibre helps to pitch the turbine into the wind, maximizing energy output.
4
Controller & Monitoring Configurable controller electronics allows the turbine to adapt to the type of grid or batteries connected, providing maximum energy generation. Remote Monitoring ensures the wind turbine is operating at its peak performance at all times. 5 1 2 3 4

Reliability & Safety

SAFETY

  • Base Level: Electronic control system activates mechanical brake with shaft lock.

  • Second Level: Passive blade pitch control, with 45º of movement and 2 reaction speeds, limits power output.

  • Third Level: Electronic control system activates electromagnetic induction brakes.

DATA INPUT & MANAGEMENT

  • Remote Control: Allows the remote customization of the wind turbine to provide the optimum performance at every site.
  • Storm Detection: Intelligent storm detection algorithm and automatic safety lock protects the turbine in the event of dangerous gusts/hurricane weather.
  • LCD display in control box. Can output to local PC or be monitored remotely via the internet.

CONSTRUCTION & MAINTENANCE

  • Anti-Corrosive Blades: The blades and nacelle are treated with epoxy paint and hermetically sealed. This gives corrosion and saline protection, making the turbine ideal for island, coastal or desert deployments.
