    ANEMOMETER

    Auto Adjusting Brake Retrofit Kit

    The brake system is a fail-safe mechanical disk brake and it is used to bring the rotor safely to a stop under a number of conditions. These include insufficient wind to continue running, too much wind and loss of mains connection – e.g. if there is a power cut. Once fitted, the auto adjusting brake upgrade continuously adjusts the brake release position to ensure that as the brake pads wear, the actuator resets the brake apply spring to the same pre-load after each braking event. Over time, the system will run out of scope for readjustment in the linkage and the brake pads themselves must be readjusted. However, the period between adjustment is greatly extended such that they will now not need any adjustment between routine services. Full instructions are sent by email after purchase.

    Blade Spring Kit

    Bump Stop Kit

    The rubber bump-stops are used to protect the back of the blade whilst teetering, as with all rubber product this will degrade over time due to exposure to oxygen and UV light as well as wearing through repeated blade contact. The bump-stops should last for 24 months before requiring replacement but on site with high instances of teeter movement in the blade such as high turbulent site then wear will be accelerated. The parts included in this kit:

    • Metal spacers behind should be re-used.

    Hub Bushing Kit
